The Standard

In the experimental world of “branded content”, sometimes brands miss the mark. We have to say we’re pretty impressed with the ethereal filmmaking skills of director Phil Pinto who put together this art piece for Eddie Bauer to to showcase the new collection. The piece was produced by Mariko Munro and Rachelyn Remz-Porter for Twin Bike Pictures.

The final result is a trippy little dreamy sequence filmed in the woods with cool cats Clara Balzary, Hannah Bronfman, Marc Razo, Shelly Zander, and Todd Jordan. the clothes itself look cozy, striking, and perfectly suited in the smoky woodsy environment tinged with a drop of surrealism. 

The narrative follows 3 sets of travelers through an eerie forrest. One of the characters in the piece, Shelly Zander, snapped these photos (below) to document behind the scenes. 

The premiere party was held at Milk Studios last night which gathered lots of creatives in the downtown circles of New York. Music was spun by Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ member Nick Zinner and artist Nate Lowman. All in all, we feel good vibes with this short film… the spirit, the people, and yes, even the clothes all feel right.
