The Standard

Every year, there is a little adventure that occurs at Art Basel. This year, the event was The Island, presented by LAND and OHWOW Flagler Memorial Island . A one-night, site-specific exhibition held on Friday, December 3, the ferry boat ride and event took place between 4-8pm.

Organized by Aaron Bondaroff, Shamim Momin and Al Mora, the participating artists include: Bozidar Brazda, Stefan Bruggemann, Scott Campbell, Brody Condon, Naomi Fisher, Michael Genovese, Luis Gispert, Adler Guerrier, Terence Koh, Kate Levant & Michael E. Smith, Hanna Liden, Justin Lowe, Kori Newkirk, Jack Pierson, Marina Rosenfeld, and Rona Yefman among others. The mission was put together by Havaianas, Why-Q and Deleon.

The little island had sculptures planted in the environment. Here’s a peek at one of them.
