"Pretty Wise" Premiere

Jun 29 2011

The 3rd installment of the Six Scents series premiering on our website this week, here’s the final treat. Exclusively commissioned by Six Scents Parfums for Six Scents Series Three, Somewhere in-between childhood and being adult we find our adolescence. An age where you think you are in control and know all there is about life but have so much further to go to find one’s self. This art short takes us to a time in our lives with no real responsibilities and an exploration of one’s identity.

‘Pretty Wise’ By Heather Sommerfield (Six Scents: Series Three) from Six Scents Parfums on Vimeo.

Director Heather Sommerfield explains: “For a beautiful young woman you find yourself being able to relate to children and play as one and yet older men find you attractive and actively try and seduce you. The irony of the piece for me is the fact that strangers are offering our muse free items because of her powerful innocent sexuality.”

Nudity in America is shocking for the spectator sending all messages of sexuality rather than freedom of spirit. The NYC police are more concerned with nudity rather than the fact she is drinking under age. Her response is nervous but seeming to be in control and then when she is out of danger she then takes a rebellious stance. Days before the shoot she agreed for her brother to give her a tattoo with the words pretty wise — a belief she herself questions but is brave enough to brand herself with.
