The Standard

We love a good music festival. We love it even better if we can be a part of it. The Standard Downtown got knee deep in music recently for the first ever Culture Collide Festival created by Filter Magazine. Our downtown hotel became the official hotel sponsor where we housed lots of the bands… and lucky us, we threw 2 parties on our rooftop to celebrate.

The opening night bash on Wednesday, Oct 6th, had a sprinkled mix of artists ranging from a DJ set by Black Lips and KAMP! . The highlight of the evening was a performance by the electric Theophilus London. If you’ve never heard of Theophilus, read this article in Esquire about this underground artist with a steady swell of love building.

The Party continued the next night, Thursday, with a brand new line-up which included DJ sets by Sebastien Tellier and El Guincho and a performance by Voxhaul Broadcast.
