Welcome to the StandART channel, a public art initiative curated with Creative Time. Launched over Armory Week in New York 2010, the StandART channel showcases works from 10 internationally revered contemporary video artists appearing on televisions in all rooms of The Standard, New York, Miami, Downtown LA, and Hollywood.

Films included are from Argentinean filmmaker and artist Mika Rottenberg and NYC-based brothers and provocateurs Casey and Van Neistat to the Bruce High Quality Foundation. One of our favorites is the Gonzalo Lebrija’s video which features a powerful depiction of a businessman wearing an Armani suit as he rides a bull, briefcase in hand in slow mo. Lee Walton meanwhile constructs scripts based on his friend’s Facebook status updates. Stay tuned for this Winter’s selection of works being curated with the talented and delightful Anne Pasternak and Meredith Fisher.
