The Standard Shop has a new toy for your bike. Truthfully, it’s more than a toy, it’s actually a life-saver with a strong LED light that can alert anything around you. For daring riders, such as Standard collaborator, Casey Neistat, who challenges New York bike lanes, we strongly recommend snapping one of these on his bike too.

The Bookman Light is slick and sweet, and (of course), it’s made in Sweden. It’s a slim, detachable bike light. As well as being pocket-sized, it’s surprisingly luminous and works perfectly as your main front and tail light when riding in the dark in all weather conditions. Thanks to the protruding LEDs, you can easily bespotted from all directions.

The lights are simple to mount and detach due to the elastic cord. To make the light small, everything was removed that didn’t fulfill a function. There is one big rubber button that is easy to locate and one carefully balanced elastic cord. We love Swedish utilitarian design.

The lights will be adorned on the new Standard New York bikes of Danish design. The bikes (not for sale) will be parked in front of our hotel for guest usage. We thought the lights were so adorable so we went ahead and ordered an extra batch of lights to sell in our online shop.

Package contents include 1 front light (white LED) and 1 tail light (red LED). The 3 modes are slow flashing, fast flashing and steady light. Batteries are included with 2 x CR2032 in each light body. When that runs out, it’s easy to change the batteries by loosening the screws on the bottom.
Drive safe and stay in those bike lanes….OK, Casey?
