We love us some good Christmas ambiance music during the holidays at The Standard. Get ready for some holiday love with the release of She & Him’s A Very She & Him Christmas (Merge Records) launched on October 25th. The indie-actress turned indie-songtress who belted out the National Anthem at the 4th game of the World Series (St. Louis Cardinals vs Texas Rangers), just whipped up a collection of heartwarming fireplace music. It’s the first ever holiday recording from the duo.

Their inspirations? Holiday albums by The Carpenters, Vince Guaraldi, The Beach Boys, and Elvis Presley among others. M.Ward’s acoustic mastery mixed mixed with Zooey’s soulful voice are a winner here that will sit in your iPod for years to come. The best part is that a portion of the album’s proceeds benefit 826 National, a nonprofit tutoring, writing, and publishing organization.
