Snapshots from the AWE / PRISM Shoot

A few years ago a German art director friend of ours thrust a late-70s Helmet Newton photograph in our face and proclaimed, “Zis is all you ever need to see. Zis is all you ever need to know.” The talented Brits at PRISM and ArtWednesday we guess had a similar experience as they were shooting this little Newton homage over in Collins Park for the launch of the new art and culture publication, AWE.

And so, while PRISM is the smart swim and eyewear on the models; ArtWednesday is the website putting out the magazine in which the photos will appear; Danielle Levitt shot the spread (FYI Ms. Levitt appeared in our Art Basel Video Series); Art/Public is responsible for the art-filled setting; Standard Culture is the one telling you about it … none of that really matters because Helmut Newton is all you really needed to know about anyway.
