First off, tell us a bit about your background, and what you do at The Standard?

I was born in NY and moved to Miami in 2005 for school (and escape freezing winter in NY). As soon as I moved down here I got a job as front desk agent and fell in love with the industry. I joined the company in May 2011 spending the summer at our sister hotel, Sunset Beach in Shelter Island, New York. I was lucky enough to move back down to Miami and join The Standard, Miami as Guest Services Manager. I’m here to make sure our guest, members and restaurant patrons get a unique, fun and memorable experience.

What’s your favorite secret spot in Miami (besides The Standard of course)?

Really hard to answer…breakfast at Joe’s, Lunch at Books & Books, dinner at Yakko San. Other than food, the 18th hole at Crandon park.

I can’t live without my Blackberry!

What’s one of your most memorable moments in the building?

Still getting my feet wet here at The Standard, Miami, but with season knocking on our door I imagine there will be many.

Food.

What is your favorite movie based in a hotel?

My favorite movie, ‘Almost Famous’, has scenes at a lot of hotels.
