A Bubbly Tasting Night at The Standard, Miami

Dec 16 2011

Did you know that the Widow (Veuve) Cliquot was the first woman to own and operate a Champagne house? Just a little tip overheard at our members bubbly night sponsored by Moet Hennessy. Last Monday, the membership team at The Standard, Miami hosted an intimate Champagne tasting in the Lido Lobby. Members were greeted with a glass of Chandon Rose before being whisked off into a world of French champagne by Bina Hurtig of Moet Hennessy.

Standard Spa members enjoyed four carefully selected champagnes from the house of Moet Hennessy over the course of a few hours. The Chandon Rose was an exquisite way to begin the evening crisp and not too sweet. Next was Moet Imperial, the staple of the Moet Chandon House, dry and delicious, followed by the Moet Imperial Ice served over ice – a perfect poolside champagne. Last but not least was the crowd favorite, Veuve Cliquot yellow label, a timeless classic. Between each tasting, members enjoyed bites of our beautifully paired cheese plates by Chef Mark of the Lido Restaurant and Bayside Grill. It was an incredible kick off to Standard Spa Members monthly tastings. Stay tuned for January tasting dates.
