If you’ve been in New York many years, you would definitely remember the famous DKNY billboard in the heart of Soho. Sure, you can argue it was just an advertisement, but for most of us, it was much bigger – a love letter to New York, pure and simple. In the realm of advertising, it was iconic. Originally designed by Peter Arnell, the mural stood erect for almost 20 years. Todays graphic is by graffiti artist Curtis Kulig (aka “Love Me”), who tagged one of the busiest intersections of New York City this week (and risked arrest) just to express what we all felt anyway. RIP DKNY Wall.
