Comedy Night in Hollywood

Join The Standard, Hollywood next Thursday, January 26 at 9pm for a night of cocktails and laughter, and not just a tickle of laughter, but a full-on, stress-releasing guffaw. This month’s line-up includes:

Ian Edwards: Ian Edwards has appeared on Late Night With Conan O’Brien, Live at Gotham, and HBO’s Bad Boys of Comedy. Edwards was born in England and has lived in Jamaica, New York, and California. When he was 21, he stopped working the drive-thru at Burger King and decided to try his hand at something stable and steady, like comedy. Since then he’s appeared on Def Comedy Jam (twice) and Show Time at the Apollo. He’s written for Saturday Night Live, the Lyricist Lounge show on MTV, The Boondocks for the Cartoon Network, and is was a cast member on the fifth season of Punk’d on MTV.

Jackie Gold: Jackie has a lot of energy and she has no problem mentioning that she is Jewish and single. Please feel free to let her know if you know anyone who’d be into that. Jackie performs consistently at Laugh Factory, Comedy Store, IMPROV and tours around the country.

Ryan Stout: Ryan Stout is the winner of the 2005 Boston Comedy Festival. He is also one of the few comedians to perform at both HBO’s The Comedy Festival in Las Vegas and HBO’s U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, CO. He has had numerous TV appearances including, but not limited to: MTV’s A Shot at Love: The Hangover, MTV’s Spring Break , MTV’s Ranked, and Chelsea Lately. His debut album Touché was released on December 6th, 2011, on Comedy Central Records.

Raj Desai: Raj Desai is a stand-up comedian, writer, and performer who resides in Los Angeles, CA. He has performed in many venues in L.A., including the Hollywood Improv, The Comedy Store, The Ice House,The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, and Largo. Raj was a runner-up in Comedy Central’s Open Mic Fight 2007.He has performed stand-up on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and appeared on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham.


On the last Thursday of every month, The Standard, Hollywood presents Comedy Night hosted by Eric Toms and featuring regular performer Max Goldberg. The laughter starts rolling around 9pm and it’s free!
