Like Coachella, we’ve got great music in a desert setting, the only difference is that our Desert Nights won’t cost you $300+ bucks and doesn’t require camping equipment. Join us this Wednesday at The Standard, Hollywood for a little musical interlude between the crazy Coachella weekends.
Lady Bankers: They met singing soulful harmonies in a band called GIRL PROBLEMS. Then, Julie Ingram and Alanna Vicente decided to perform on their own celebrating one of their favorites, PEGGY LEE. They’ll give you FEVER…you can bank on that!

Alaska Reid: Alaska is from a small town at the edge of Paradise Valley in Montana. Some of her earliest musical memories are of riding around in her father’s old blue car listening to Buck Owens or Dinosaur Jr. while staring at the Beartooth mountains. She wants her music to be like those drives, wild, wide open and full of paradise, but seen though the windows of a dirty car. Some of her influences are in no particular order Peggy Lee, Led Zeppelin, Ryan Bingham, Heartless Bastards, Nirvana, Lee Hazlewood, Nancy Sinatra, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan and Merle Haggard. She recently recorded five songs with Producer Eric Lilljestrand (Grammy nominated for his work with Lucinda Williams) as well as producer, Dave Cobb (Jamey Johnson, Shooter Jennings, The Secret Sisters). You’ve seen her playing at the Mint LA, The Baked Potato and House of Blues to name a few.

Antoine Debarge: Antoine Debarge is a French singer songwriter based in Los Angeles. His music is a blend of French 60’s organic indie rock with influences coming from growing up on a house boat on the river in the center of Paris to traveling exotic places and living in Los Angeles, where he is currently finishing his first full length album TROPICAL NIRVANA.
What is Desert Nights?
Desert Nights is a weekly gathering at The Standard, Hollywood, hosted by KCRW’s DJ Valida. Every Wednesday, Valida curates three acoustic musical acts to perform a set in the Cactus Lounge. The vibe is warm and intimate, evoking an impromptu jam in a musician’s living room. The music begins at 7:30pm, it’s always free and always a good time. Guaranteed.
