Jul 25 2012

The Standard Biergarten in New York, The Standard, Hollywood, and The Standard, Downtown LA will be screening the summer Olympics starting on Friday, from the opening ceremony till the last medal is bit.

In The Biergarten, The Opening Ceremony will be onscreen Friday 7/27 at 7:30 EST and then starting Saturday at 11:45am, the games begin with volleyball followed by swimming, water polo, track & field and table tennis. The schedule is kind of complicated so if you’re particularly inclined to watch a certain event, probably best to check with NBC. If you would like the unique experience of watching Olympic table tennis while playing table tennis, the games air Saturday at 2pm & 3:30pm, Sunday at 1pm, Monday at 2pm, Tuesday at 3pm and then following Friday-Monday everyday at 2pm.

At The Standard, Hollywood they’ll be screening the Opening Ceremony at 7pm PST on Friday and, naturally, they’ll feature a special”Pimms Cup Salute” cocktail. Weekends during the Olympics they will also be offering up pitchers of “Union Jack Olympic”, a Standardly delicious blend of patriotic libations.

Over in the lobby of The Standard, Downtown LA, they’ll be serving a special Olympian worthy food and drink menu and projecting the games every night from 5 PM to midnight PST.
