Live streaming from Pier 54 across from The Standard.
David Blaine, endurance illusionist and part time demigod, is putting on his most dangerous show yet and it’s all happening right in front of The Standard, High Line. David will stand on a giant podium surrounded by four tesla machines which produce 1-million volts of electricity. “Protected” in a 27-pound metal mesh suit, David will stand in this lighting storm for 72 straight hours, a feat never done before.
Yesterday in a interview with Google Plus’ “What’s Trending,” he admitted this is definitely his most dangerous stunt to date. Not only it is wildly unclear what prolonged electromagnetic exposure will do to his body, he’s already bumped his head against the back of his wire helmut and received a massive shock.
Will he make it out OK? See for yourself. Stop by the Pier 54 on West 13th Street to keep him awake (You can actually interact with the set up and play with the juice) or check in here with our live feed.
